1. All Official VolleyBall Rules apply – In any situation where there is a perceived ambiguity in these rules, the organizers and umpires will have the authority to make a final and binding interpretation on the field of play.
2. The tournament consists of 6 teams, which have been divided in two groups – Group A and Group B
3. Within each group, each team plays every other team a best of 3 games, resulting in 9 first-round matches in each group. The winning team gets 2 points, while the losing team gets 0 points. The top two team (the team with the maximum number of points ) from each group will play in the tournament semi final.
4. All the teams are requested to assemble at the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time of their respective matches.
5. If any team is late beyond half an hour from the scheduled time, the decision to concede BYE will rest in the hands of Umpires’.
6. Drinks in between all the matches will be provided by the organizers.
7. The umpire’s decision in all matters is final. There will be no attempt to intimidate the umpire, either verbally or with physical threats or actions. If any such attempt is made, appropriate decision will be taken by the organizers.
8. Scoring will be arranged by the organizers for all the matches of the tournament.
9. In the event that rain/bad light causes obstruction of play or due to any unavoidable circumstances, resulting in a washout for that day (forcing play to be not possible even on the next day), the new match timings will be decided by discussion with teams.
10. As the Volleyball Court timings are restrictive, only till 9 PM, so any pending matches will be continued next day on a priority basis.
11. All team captains are advised to have the contact numbers of all the team players and ensure full participation.
12. If any team is falling short of players the captain needs to call the co-ordinators for replacements or decide by themselves.
